A
Automatic Navigation
Site navigation can be automated using menu boxes. A menu will automatically generate links to all of the pages in a particular folder and stay up-to-date as pages are added, moved or deleted. The names used for the links are the names of the pages and they are ordered as they are in the folder. Multiple levels of navigation can be constructed by incorporating menus into page templates. Since the particular folder that will be used to populate the menu can be relative (e.g. current folder), the menu will adapt to any page that uses the template in which it is defined.

Color-Shifted Image
The combination of palettes and stylesheets give "global" control over text and backgrounds. There are many instances, however, where graphics are used to create shapes and textures. siteMagix has a unique technology that allows GIF images to be "color shifted" to a color in the palette. When image content objects are created a color is chosen from the palette that represents the color that is to be shifted. When the image is used in a box a particular color palette entry is chosen and the image will always shift to that color. Color shifting can be applied to simple images or to composite images.
Composite Background
Stylesheets may contain complex graphical backgrounds that can be used decorate text boxes. These backgrounds are special types of images know as "composite images". The composite images consist of a series of images used to represent corners, sides, tops and bottoms of shapes. These shapes will then envelope the text box and scale to the size of the text box without losing their fundamental appearance due to stretching. This is because there is carefully crafted HTML used to position these images and specify their size. The end result is an easy way to create many of the popular text block styles that include rounded corners, drop shadows, decorative borders or 3D raised looks. The user simply selects one of these composite images into a stylesheet and than uses that stylesheet for any boxes that are to adopt that look.
