Page Functions II

(Hide, Unhide, Make Default, Delete)

Hide a Page

Hiding a page prevents it from being displayed on the Navigation Bar when the page is previewed or displayed on the web.  From the Pages tab on the tree list panel, select the Page you wish to hide.

Click .  The Hidden button will be depressed, and a sunglasses icon will appear to the right of the page name.

Unhide a Page

Unhiding a page allows it to be displayed on the Menu when the page is previewed or displayed on the web.

From the Pages tab on the tree list panel, select the Page you wish to unhide.

Click  .  The Hidden button will return to its normal (up) state, and the sunglasses icon will be removed from the page name.

Set the Default Page

To set the first page that viewers will see when they go to you rsite, select the page and press . A check mark will be placed next to the page to indicate it is the Default page.  Note that a Default page can also be set for pages within folders.  This is used to indicate which page in the folder will be displayed first when the menu element corresponding to the folder is selected.

Delete a Page

From the Pages tab on the tree list panel, select the Page you wish to delete.

Click Delete .  A confirmation message box will pop up asking you to confirm whether you wish to delete the page.  Click OK to delete the page, otherwise click Cancel.

NOTE:  As Pages can be linked to other components throughout the site, a Page can only be deleted if it is not being referenced anywhere else in the site.  If you attempt to delete a Page when it is in use, an error message box will pop up.  Check the Usage Tab for the Page to view a listing with links to all of the objects in which the Page is referenced.  Note some versions of the site builder do not have a usage tab.
