Pages
(Menu Box - Introduction)
A Menu Box is a visual “bar” that consists of images and/or text that are used to link to pages within your site. The structure of the menu is determined by the organization of the pages and folders on the Pages tab on the Tree List Panel. A link is created to each page or folder and will have the same name as the name of the page.
Note: Some versions of the site builder only have menu boxes on page masters and do not allow you to add menu boxes to individual pages.
When a link is created for a folder the actual page that is linked to is detemined as follows:
-
If the folder contains a Default Page, that Page will be displayed when the name of the folder is clicked on the Menu.
-
If the folder does not contain a Default Page, then the first non-Hidden page will be displayed when the name of the folder is clicked on the Menu.
(Note: If a folder does not contain any pages, it will not be displayed on the menu.)
There are a number of options for choosing which folder will be used as the source of pages for the menu. These are discussed in the next section.
Menu Box Types
You can create three different Menu Box Types:
Text Only: The page or folder name is displayed for each menu item.
Text Box: The page or folder name is displayed for each menu item inside a rectangle with optional borders.
Text & Image: Each menu item is displayed using a Composite Image.
